No Meal for Child with Allergies

Saudi Airlines 8 PM Flight SV 1475 – 25/6/2016 from Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport (Medina) – KSA, to Cairo International Airport – Egypt. From the first minute of boarding we could see it wouldn’t be a nice flight; it turned out to be a flight from hell.

For some reason the whole crew was frowning, unwilling to be helpful by any means. They were in a rush running through the aisle from one side of the plane to another, joking together while trying to avoid people’s requests and demands, and not making any attempt to be professional and do their jobs.

After the jet took off and it should have been meal time, the air hostess assumed that all passengers are fasting! She just took the food cart and plowed down the aisle like a freight train! Then passengers one by one started asking for the meal they paid for, as did we, and here is another catastrophe…

When we booked the tickets online we asked especially for a “milk-free child’s meal” as my child has a severe milk allergy. However his meal was a normal one with cheese and butter, and was very spicy, even for an adult! Can you imagine how irresponsible they are regarding something related to children’s health? Can you imagine what would happen if he took a bite from that spicy meal including milk!! Can you imagine how such a crew would respond if that child had an emergency because of their reckless behavior?

It is needless to say I asked the hostess three times to get my child’s meal; she just ignored me while my baby is crying for the complete flight duration because of being hungry.

After landing we waited for our luggage for two hours, then every half hour only a few bags came out. When we asked about it they just answered,”Laborers are taking a rest.” Seriously! Thank god we finally received our bags as some people lost theirs and were told to go to the police station, not airport security.

The last beautiful thing to complete our perfect day was that we forgot our camera on the plane. When we went to Saudi Airline’s office and told the guy there, he raised his eyebrows and gave us a yellow smile like, “Are you crazy to annoy me for something trivial like your stupid camera?” He was very rude and told us,”No, we did not find anything on your chairs.” He even refused to make a complaint for us or let us talk to a supervisor.

We were loyal customers to Saudi Airlines, but it seems we now have to look for other options.

That sounds like a flight from hell and a half. And why assume everyone was fasting? It's not required when travelling. It doesn't seem like a long flight though.
