In 2010 my mother and I were flying from Eugene, Oregon to Columbia, South Carolina. We were all forced to wait for two hours for an old United Express CRJ-200 that would take us to San Francisco. After waiting for two hours for “weather delays” we finally were rushed onto the cramped 50 seater. By the time we got to San Francisco we had missed our connection to Chicago via United main line. We were told to go to the United kiosk where at least 100 people were waiting to get rebooked onto other flights.
After the long wait filled with sobbing and angry people, we approached an old Chinese lady behind the desk. Now keep in mind that I have no issues with anyone from any other race, but she was the most horrible person. After 20 minutes of her typing on her computer mindlessly, she finally got us separate connections with my mom going through DFW and me going through JFK. Well that was a problem because the whole point of the trip was to see my brother graduate from Army boot-camp the following day. After explaining that to her, she BLEW UP in our faces and told us to “GET LOST.” Frustrated, we were forced to fly back to Eugene via Portland on Alaskan. Never again United!
