Parents Ditch Kids

If I recall correctly, I was flying on a 737 from Chicago to San Jose, or perhaps San Jose to Chicago. I had the aisle and seated next to me was a mother and her son, about 7 years old.

Immediately after the aircraft reached cruising altitude, the mother popped out of her seat and went back several rows to where her husband was sitting with their other son, about 5 years old. She came back to her seat with the 5 year-old and put him in it — she then left me with her two sons and went to join her husband.

Those two a**h*l*s sat and drank wine and laughed the remainder of the flight while their two sons fought (including hitting one another) in the seats beside me.

The most fearsome “Nazi concentration camp guard” flight attendants are never so bad as the selfish parents who use our air transport system.
