It wasn’t really a hellish flight, but its a great in-air story!! I was heading home to Sarasota FL, from a direct flight from Israel. I was lucky enough to get some prescription sleeping pills for the 12 hour flight. I took them as I got on the plane and according to the instructions on the bottle. With in minutes of eating our first meal I passed out. Unconscious. Luckily I was sitting with an entire row of friends so the 2 people I was sitting between didn’t mind. That is, until the the girl sitting next to me wanted to get up. They tried to wake me but I was in a drugged-out coma and when she “gently nudged” me so she could move, I preceded to slump over and smash my face into the tray table. I didn’t wake up. It took both of the girls siting next to me to pick me back up. I woke up 20 minutes before landing to a great story and a bump on my forehead!

Lovely story but I have to ask you….what kind of pills were prescribed to you? My husband hates to fly and have been trying to figure out something to work. They've given him xanax but that really does nothing for him.
I took 2 mg of lorazepam (ativan) on an 8 hour flight, & i was very glad i did. The flight went by quite quickly & comfortably
Lorezapam is an anti-anxiety medication and definitely doesn't have that strong an effect on most people…it doesn't even make me sleepy.
Ambien CR. The long-distance flyers friend. 😉
Zopiclone ^^
