Air Sickness

My worst flight ever! Back in the mid-1970s, I boarded a small twin engine commuter flight from Amarillo, TX to Bakersfield, CA. It was a very hot August and the air was very turbulent. About midway through the flight, the air conditioning failed on the aircraft while the turbulence was getting worse. Shortly thereafter someone mid-plane got air sick and lost the contents of their stomach. The cabin became absolutely foul with odor and soon, nearly everyone was turning to their own air sickness bags. To make matters even worse, there were not enough bags to go around and even for some of those that had them, they… well, missed. The flight never made it to Bakersfield and the pilot put down at a regional airport en route. The interior of the plane was a disaster and some folks were once again sick while passing through the cabin and de-planing. Yuck!

Nice. Reminds me of the Meaning of Life, Monty Python style.

Would you like a wafer? A single wafer?
