The Loudmouthed Passenger

in Passenger Stories

I was flying from Denver to LA. I was in First Class and thought there would be no problems with the people. Wrong. The guy next to me would not stop talking at the top of his lungs. You would have thought he was screaming to someone in the back of the plane. I tried to read and even turned on my IPod, but he would not shut up. People looked at me and I could tell they felt sorry for me, but still thought “better him than me.”

But the kicker was when he started telling me how he was molested as a child, again, in a very loud voice. When we landed he immediately turned on his cell phone to call his boyfriend, telling him in graphic detail just what he was going to do when he saw him. The look on an elderly woman’s face was white as a ghost. As we were leaving the plane she remarked that she had never “seen” a gay man before.

Shoot that last line would have changed it from a Flight from Hell, to all worth it for me.

I'm twisted like that.

I'd be willing to pay to have one of those ultra right-wing priests try to turn that man into an ex-gay because the gay community does not need people like him.
