I’m flying from San Jose to Las Vegas which I do nearly every weekend and holiday. So far, I’ve been lucky enough to have experienced minimal mishaps. I’m a people watcher not a people talker. I’m a frequent flyer so it has some small benefits.
I always choose a window seat. I don’t like sitting too close to the front because mostly kids and parents sit there. Needless to say, I’m on a flight going home after work on a Friday and I’m seated next to a woman and her son. The woman is in her 30s and her son is about 5 years old. I am a 53-year-old female.
As the flight is about to start down the runway the boy says he needs to use the bathroom, and the mom tells him he has to wait. I assume once we are in the air she will allow him to use the rest room … that’s not what happens. After the captain says we are allowed to get up and go to the bathroom, the mom decides her son can finally relieve himself. So, she pulls out a sandwich baggy from her purse and pulls her 5-year-old son’s pants down. His butt and penis are exposed, and she allows him to urinate in the sandwich baggy.
Rarely am I shocked. Even more rare am I offended, especially by parents dealing with small kids. But this one has me pissed off. I do not want to see the bare butt of your son nor do I wanna smell or hear him urinate in a sandwich baggy. For those ready to flip out – yes, I closed my eyes. That’s not the point. It’s unsanitary, disgusting and offensive. What does she then do with the bag full of pee? She double bags it and puts in in her purse. Absolutely revolting!
I dare anyone to try and top this story with anything more gross. I don’t know why I did not complain; I think I was shell shocked. I still cannot believe it happened!
