Surly Senior Almost Gets Her Ass Kicked

February 12, 2010

in Senior Stories

My husband, three kids and I were traveling from Brussels to Chicago around Thanksgiving 2006 on emergency leave as my father was dying. In fact, they were just waiting for us to arrive before they “pulled the plug.” So, already a miserable trip.

Unfortunately, our newly potty trained little one peed his pants. I had packed so quickly that I had no extra clothes for him. So, we’re trying our best to get his clothes dried up. Meanwhile, some old white haired bitch proceeds to give us a ration of shit about it – accusing us of changing a poopy diaper at our seat (which we most definitely did not do). She calls a FA and complains, talks loudly about this on and on. Just horrible.

Then, as we’re leaving the plane, she shoves our oldest daughter. At the baggage carousel I confronted her about touching my kid. Almost kicked a 75 year old woman’s ass – but managed to control my rage only because we still had to clear customs and catch another plane to get to my family. But I did manage to scream at her and call her a WHORE. That made me feel a little better. I nearly got a standing ovation from her travel mates who didn’t think so much of her either – as she had nagged them about everything during their trip.

and you sir are an ass

she had no right to touch your child

but for thinking bout kicking a grandma is just a dick and rude and makes you an even bigger ass, and calling her a whore

well as long as that makes ya feel all manly to kick a grandmas ass

Some guy named Dave August 24, 2013 at 12:14 am

Read it again Dave. Just a wild guess but SHE mentioned HER husband so I'm gonna go with it and assume that SHE is FEMALE. Why should anyone be given a senior discount ? If the old bitch touched my child I would drop her regardless of gender or age. As for calling the old hag a whore, well, fifty fifty who knows ?

Doesn't matter how old someone is. If they're old enough to know how to behave like a mature adult in public, they're old enough to deal with the fact that they should behave like one.

OP is allowed to think about kicking grandma's ass all he pleases, and is well within his rights. You only get to be an uppity jerk about it if he actually DOES it.

OP is a woman (at least I think so…OP refers to having a husband and children). Somehow that makes it much more acceptable to call an old lady a whore and want to smack her bitch up. I agree with OP.

Come on David and Jadefirefly, reread what the OP wrote, She was traveling home from Belgium on emergency leave as her father was dying.

She was traveling with her husband and 3 children and she was clearly so rattled that she left home without a change of clothes for her little one. Children can react in unpredictable ways to stress like, for instance, peeing their pants when they are toilet trained.

This does not excuse her behavior, the old woman was mean, rude and flat out nasty, but it does not help the situation by calling her a whore and wanting to kick her rump.

Maybe a quiet explanation to grandma would have averted the outburst and if it didn't well, Look Out Grandma And Watch Your Butt!

marta u basically said what i said in more words

Marta February 13, 2010 at 1:52 pm

True David, but I did not stoop to calling the OP names…..

David February 13, 2010 at 2:44 pm

And if u read what I said neither did i

Mindy February 14, 2010 at 1:29 pm

She shoved your kid?! Congrats on being able to hold back. If anyone touched one of my kids I would have shooved their ass into a meat grinder.

chris February 15, 2010 at 2:10 am

Um David I did read and re-read what you said… called the OP "sir" which was actually a "ma'am" and called her an "ass" AND a "dick" . sounds like name calling to me

david February 15, 2010 at 9:53 am

well actually the sir remark was made because i thought the person was male not female so that wasn't name calling

i didnt call her a dick, i said that it was a dick thing to do, again not name calling

the first ass that i said was stating my opinion that thinking that way shows negative feedback, hence no name calling

the second time i said it cant even be used in the same context as name calling

so as you can see there was no name calling, i didnt say mr/mrs sucker or anything like that

The older woman sounds rude.

However, from your language, you obviously have some issues too….and, are not much of a lady….so, I question the validity of the story happening quite like you say.

Finally, how do you know this lady is a whore? You may want to look up the definition of the word before you use it again. It doesn't carry much punch when used incorrectly. Did you see her having sex with many men on the plane? At her age, do you really think she has that much sex at all? So calling her a whore really means nothing as it obviously is not correct. The bitch word sounds like it would more appropriately be applied, if indeed she behaved in the manner you described.

Anyway using the term(s) whore, bitch and "pulled the plug" speaks volumes about you. I hope you do not behave that way or use that language in front of your children.

and you sir are an ass

the first ass that i said was stating my opinion that thinking that way shows negative feedback, hence no name calling

Oh, come off it, David. You called her a name. You didn’t say “i think you’re an ass.” You said “you sir are an ass” as though it was a statement of fact. Just admit it and move on. Your “explanation” doesn’t even make much sense.

I would have had a hard time restraining myself from confronting anyone who threatened someone I cared about. I don’t have kids, so I can’t speak from experience, but age doesn’t excuse bad behavior. Nor does grief, but it certainly makes it more understandable.

Demotage February 16, 2010 at 11:25 am

I don't think they were using the term 'whore' literally. If I call someone 'numb nuts' it's not because I think their nuts are actually numb.

Jim February 17, 2010 at 11:46 am

numb nuts, is universally accepted as meaning someone that's not too bright….so, yeah I can see your use of that phrase.

however, whore is universally accepted as a woman who sleeps around. So, don't understand using that word to insult an old lady. LOL

Demotage February 17, 2010 at 8:59 pm

I actually agree Jim. I thought the use of the term 'whore' was a little strange.

Rob February 18, 2010 at 6:05 am

I guess in a fit of rage, anythng is possible. I would never had thought to use the word Whore to any lady, but I would have told her she was an old grumpy hag….

xxx April 5, 2013 at 10:40 pm

right next time use c*** not whore, women seem to take more offense to it anyways

NomdeVoyage August 19, 2013 at 4:10 pm

But I did manage to scream at her and call her a WHORE.

Classy. Perhaps you picked that up at the debutante ball.
