Comment Policy

Flights From Hell appreciates those who take the time to contribute their comments. While strong disagreement is acceptable, please consider that story writers took the effort to share their experiences with you. Also keep in mind that what you say and how you say it speaks about you as well!

We have the right but not the obligation to monitor comment postings, and are not responsible for their content. Report any concerns about posted comments. We are under no obligation to modify or remove any reported content. Objectionable material might be kept if subsequently addressed by other commenters, or if removal might affect an entire comment thread. Sometimes objectionable remarks can lead to comments by others that will help to educate those who are less informed. Readers have an opportunity to express their support or disagreement about comments by voting thumbs-up or thumbs-down.

We reserve the right to remove and edit comments, and to ban posters who are in violation of these rules. Warnings may or may not be given prior to banishment.

Comments that are explicitly racist, demeaning to an ethnic group, or homophobic are not welcome. Likewise those that are exceedingly abusive, threatening, violent, hateful, and disruptive (as opposed to being merely objectionable or ignorant), as well as those that impersonate another party. Comments should be on-topic.

Commenters are advised not to disclose their personal information; nothing that would violate the privacy of other parties may be posted.

A name and email address are required to post a comment. While names are posted next to comments, email addresses are never displayed publicly. You don’t have to use your real name. A legitimate email address is required if you’d like to receive notifications about replies.

When commenting you may include a link to your blog or website. Links must not link back to inappropriate content (e.g. racist, adult, gambling, illegal products) – we have the sole discretion in determining the appropriateness of a site. Comments must be pertinent to the story or conversation. Obvious link spamming, such as duplicate comments, will be removed.

On rare occasions a comment will automatically be falsely shunted into the spam folder. Please let us know if your comment doesn’t get posted so that we can look into the matter (contact@flightsfromhell.com).

By posting comments you grant Flights From Hell the right, in perpetuity, to use, alter, and/or display them at its sole discretion for any purpose.

Terms on this page can change. Use of the site after a change has been made (even if just visiting) indicates that the user has read the new version and agrees with it.
