Puke on Passenger Provokes Attack

in Baby & Kid Stories

I recently took a flight with my baby, whom I’ve never had any problems flying with. In fact, I’ve had people compliment me on how well he flies. This flight, however, ended in disaster, pain, and blood.

Soon after getting him settled in his car seat and giving him a bottle for take off, my son was fast asleep. About an hour into our flight, there was some bad turbulence and he woke up. To my surprise, he actually seemed to enjoy the turbulence as he giggled every time the plane dropped. I was extremely relieved that he was giggling instead of screaming. I foolishly took it as a sign that everything was going to be okay.

Although my son has never had any issues with motion sickness, he had also never experienced such turbulence. In an effort to take adequate precautionary measures, I had a bag open and ready. There is a first time for everything, and this was no exception.

Unfortunately, he projectile vomited in the way only babies can. I couldn’t catch all of it in the bag and some landed on the shirt of the man sitting next to us. I felt horrible and apologized profusely. I felt like the right thing to do was reimburse him for the damage, so I gave him money to pay for dry cleaning. I also gave him money to buy a new shirt when we landed, because I didn’t want him to have to wear a shirt with vomit on it the rest of his day.

He was upset, which I completely understood. I expected the yelling and cussing. I expected the rant about babies on planes. What I didn’t expect was for him to slap me across the face so hard that my nose broke.

Yes what happened? I can't believe someone could be so rude! I hope he was arrested and you have assault charges pending.

The police were called and waiting for him at the gate when we landed

Sniff Sniff Sniff…. I can smell some buuuullllsh*t !!

Unless this story is from a parallel universe where society has collapsed, Mike Tyson was voted president-for-life and installed some sort of Battle Royal/Hunger Games type scenario – this is a fake.

This would have made at the very least local news. ‘Passenger Breaks Parent’s Nose’? The press would have had a field day! If someone even mentions slapping someone on the face the plane would have made an emergency landing or at least someone would have YouTubed the aftermath incident.

And if it was real….You took what could have been the very worst flight experience possible and some how made it a dull!

If you want to believe I'm lying, that's fine. I don't really care if a complete stranger online thinks I'm lying and i don't feel the need or desire to argue and try to change your mind. I know it was real. The police know it was real. Pictures, x-rays, and medical bills prove it was real. I'm sorry if this was dull and didn't meet your standards for entertainment.

I'm really sorry Laurel.

This is by far the most harrowing flight experience I have ever read – period. However, usually an account has a beginning, a middle and an end.

A guy breaking the nose of a woman holding a baby….disgusting. Yet the lack of any details was very bizarre! How did they restrain him? Did they divert the plane? What happened when they arrested him? Did any passengers come to your rescue? Who looked after your already traumatised baby? What did the crew do? Better yet – what did you do?

…And the matter-of-fact punchline almost makes you sound like your happlily married to Jackie Gleason!

I don't believe this story. Captain would have called airport for cops waiting for this guy to be arrested.

Dang. If I were you, I'd have dumped the rest of the vomit in the bag on him. Hopefully you are pressing charges and the judge throws the book at that guy.
