in Passenger Stories

I am a business woman that travels frequently. I was already in my aisle seat on a recent flight from Atlanta to Salt Lake City when a heafty man in a business suit approached my row and said to me, “If you will just scoot over missy I will sit in the aisle.” Now, I chose to sit in the aisle not at the window (his was the window seat). I said I would not scoot over for him but would be happy to get up so he could sit in his assigned seat. That horse’s behind made sure that he was as annoying as he could be the entire 4 hour flight because I wouldn’t give up my seat to him!

You make reference to him annoying you, but no details. From the small amount of facts you describe, it doesn;t sound that bad. How about some details of what he did to be annoying???

Missy? Was this guy in a 50's time warp. Good for you standing (or sitting) your ground.

I hate men like that. But I would have loved more details from ya. Maybe next time you can elaborate more.

Good for you on not giving in to the bullying! One time a fellow sat next to me on a Southwest flight and, as he sat down, said he need the armrest up. I didn't say anything, but as soon as he was in his seat I put the armrest back down. Amazing what some men will try to get away within, thinking they can bully females into doing things.

Please… next time someone nicely asks you to scoot over, remember your place and get your behind into the window seat.

Women these days need a wakeup call – start behaving properly, keep your mouths shut, and do as you're told. You should be grateful you're allowed to fly unaccompanied.

Seriously? Either you're a complete asshole or your attempt at sarcastic humor failed miserably.

Cheran…

The only reason my humor may have been lost on you is if you've got a bit of a stick jammed somewhere… relax… be chillin' and don't take the world so damed seriously.

Thank you for confirming that your devaluation of a female flyer was a failed attempt at humor. However, your response to me was classic asshole. Maybe you should take your own advice and "don’t take the world so damed [sic] seriously."

(saw's equally humorless response in 3, 2, 1…)

Cheran…

Oh please… if you ACTUALLY believe that a sarcastic post clearly intended to SUPPORT the person in question was an affront, then you need some serious help.

And yeah… it's humorless now because you, apparently, have no sense of one… It must suck to be you – do you actually ENJOY being miserable and crotchety?

A large majority of your posts are sarcastic, condescending, or politically incorrect. Thank you for proving my point (but I do so enjoy the banter).

Cheran…

Yes… I'm sarcastic, and yes, I'm politically incorrect.

Political correctness is what whining self-involved people want so that they can feel better about themselves. Anyone who thinks that being "politically incorrect" is a good thing needs to take a long hard look at themselves.

Sarcasm is oft defined as the humor of the intellectual. I'll gladly be accused of that as well, thank you.

As for proving your point, the only one I see myself proving is that I'm "sarcastic and politically incorrect". Both of which, I'm proud to be. And so I thank you for the compliments.

Now, stop getting your panties in a twist, pull the fencepost out of your ass, and enjoy the stories 🙂

Wow…Just wow. You're "off" on so many different levels that I don't even know where to begin, so I won't. But I'm sure you'll have at least one more "intellectual" parting comment for me…

jody back to your comment about the arm-rest? was the guy large?

coz that way it just may be a comfort factor and your just trying to make it into a bigger deal, has nothign to do with being "bullied into things" but if he was able to fit easily than idk why he would need or want it up

well sarcasm is taken differently by different people, and sometimes it is hard to understand on a computer, people take things too literally and seriously

i am all for womens rights and equallity, but i am not a fan of (extreme) feminism/feminists, who take everything to exagerated rates which is uncalled for (and does not help the situation) and will always try and find faults where there may be none

I had a little arguement with a extreme feminist the other day, asking her so should women be elligable to be drafted? it would be equal across the board and you keep saying women can do everything that men do and are as strong……she said no and that it wouldn't be right…..and also that men should be the only ones in war and in the army dying (seems to me that would be unequal)

so basically i am for womens rights n equality but in a civilized manner where goals are set out and that everyone is on the same page

Hey scotty – damned right I'm enjoying it 😉 Bugs the crap out of me when some nutball uber-feminist finds a way to take a comment CLEARLY intended to SUPPORT the person with the issue, and turn that around trying to make me look like something I'm not. And the fact that she's chomping on the bit to reach through the ether and be angry is hysterical. So.. Bite me 🙂

How did I make you look like something you're not? You are admittedly sarcastic and politically incorrect, and proud of it. Just wanted to hear yourself talk some more?
