Pandemonium and Pat-Down at Security

in Airport Stories

Flight 873 American Airlines was everything but routine. If bad karma existed. I hope that the company goes down in flames.

As we entered the terminal, something in the air irked me to some extent; I knew some of it was acrid. As we proceeded to check-in, right away the lady behind the counter saw us coming a mile away. After seeing us she collected four hundred dollars for the luggage. We had two carry-ons and two bottom dwellers. I thought it was a bit abusive, but you go and fight “City Hall.” I couldn’t put my finger on it, but I had the sneaking suspicion that she was racially motivated, but that’s very hard to context. You know that when someone has a position of power over you, basically you’re screwed big time.

The lady at check-in must have flagged my wife because what comes up next is a complete Class A fuckup. No sooner had my wife passed through customs when all hell broke loose and Lucifer himself was there. The artillery of errors that sufficed from going through the scanning device was one for the Guinness Book of World Records. The machine went crazy and she was patted down, including her private “junk.” Two customs officers suddenly appeared to be more than willing to offer their services. It was just pandemonium. We were late for the plane; all was lost in the translation.

My wife is a beautiful Mexican lady. If you ever meet her in your travels say “hello.” She will appreciate.

Thanks,

Jose Chavez

The airport workers don't make the prices or the rules. Also, I am pretty sure your wife wasn't singled out. There was probably a reason for it that you left out.

OP just says "all hell broke loose" but doesn't say what happened after they passed through customs except for something about a machine and getting patted down (which I thought security did, not customs, but it does happen in airports). Sounds like there might be a bit of exaggeration here . . .

If you're going to post a story, tell the story. Trying to describe a flight from hell with half the details doesn't really work. I don't care what you post, really, just saying that there's too many details missing here and it's hard to figure out exactly what was happening . . .

Much to my dismayed you guys make an excellent point, unusual for some unexplainable reason didn't quite wanted to be a bored but it seems I have failed. After she went through the fastidious machine, this is where I find it hard to comprehend that costumes agents don't really paint anything other then being a cut off card board.
She was stopped and question regarding her identification. She took out her resident alien card and showed them but it seems that it was not good enough, they wanted to see another type of I.D so she showed them her green Mexican passport which right away she was told it was not good as well. So two police officers appeared out of no where, as if it was magic, more than zealous to perform the duties at hand. So they had to called another costume agent in order to make things work. after while it did but she her flight as well as he connection.
So may bad thing happened to good people.
Later take care and safe journey

So now this site is all about making up the silliest phony complaint to see if people will rise to the bait – and they do!

AA does not charge $400 for two checked bags. Try again.
