At 198 cm and about 120 kg, I can identify with your story. Inevitably, the shortest person in the plane will sit in front of me, recline their seat all the way back, THEN LEAN UP TO READ OR SEE THE IN-SEAT MONITOR! More than once, the seats are mysteriously non-functional when the midget returns from the bathroom after leaving their seat reclined.

When that happens to me, I just squirm and bump my knees over and over and over so they do not get to sleep any more than I do.
