Trapped Like A Rat

in Senior Stories

During one of my flights I observed a woman who must have been at least 90 years old stand up in the aisle to go use the lavatory. As she peered down each aisle she suddenly realized that beverage carts on opposite ends of the aisle were slowly moving in towards her. As she kept turning to look at one cart then the other, a look of confusion and fear swept the poor woman’s face. She didn’t seem to know how to escape the dilemma, as though she was trapped like a rat. Finally one of the FAs, seeing the situation, told her to sit down in order to allow a cart to get past her so that an aisle would be free. After obeying the instructions, a cart made it past her seat and she was finally able to use the lav.

I get pissed off at people like Jodi here who feel the need to comment on how appropriate posts are to this site, especially when I find that posts like this; that provide a good story about "the human condition" are very interesting to read. I don't care whether they relate to a flight from hell or not. And, I especially don't give shit whether Jodi, in this case -OR- SAW (the amazing 4-eyed geek who lives in constant search for a life) or natcho…… happen to agree with any one's post or not.!! Should they feel that it is a fabrication, then fine, say so. But, other that sniffing out contrivances, then hold the commentary, especially when it happens to be totally related to flying ……w/o being hellish!

Wow Mike, good for you. Now, please go take a healthy cleansing dump. What an asshat!! I agree with Jodi 100%. This is "Flights from Hell", not observations on everything an person may do on a flight. Boring!!

Well Mike, this is a comments section where I am free to leave comments that are a reflection of my opinion. If you don’t like what I say, don’t read it. I did not bash the writer, call him/her names, or say anything all that rude. The site is “Flights from Hell” not “Flight Stories”. I expressed my opinion that his experience wasn't all that hellish. Deal with it.

The hellishness of an experience is dependent upon one's perspective. I bet from the perspective of the old lady, it was a flight from hell.

man, old people suck really bad. but old women are easily the worst (besides babies and little brat kids). whether they are at the grocery store, the bank- whatever. they are VERY easily confused and if given the oportunity will just gab and gab about nothing at all and cuase long lines everywhere behind them. slow in mind and body, they are a great danger to us all. get rid of them!
