Stares And Glares From Snooty Girl

in Passenger Stories

I was on a flight home from a long and exhausting Las Vegas to Seattle. We were taking a late night flight home as to get the most out of the great weather. Well at about midnight we boarded the plane and took our seats and were all on edge due to the lack of sleep when a snooty looking girl and her boyfriend boarded the plane. As soon as she saw all nine of us girls she instantly made it her goal to make us as uncomfortable as possible. She spent most of the flight sitting in the aisle across from us staring at each of us. It was the most unnerving feeling to have someone you don’t know glaring at you for two hours while you try to remain calm and not cause a fight on the plane. I don’t understand some peoples urge to make other as miserable as they are.

You showed restraint and class by not embarrassing this man or yelling at him (as many other people may have done). I'm glad that you were rewarded for being a good person who was temporarily in an uncomfortable situation.

I have never said anything about a fat person on a plane, or train or whatever. I do draw the line when they start leaning on me when they sleep. I think at that point you are justified in waking them up.

Kudos to the FA for upgrading you. People shouldn't eat rotten eggs for breakfast.

Good job. So sorry about the others who had to breathe coach-class air.

Head on shoulder? Never acceptable. That deserves an instant poke in the ribs.

I agree with Phillip.

Why do you all presume to know her based on such limited information?

Being stared at could be quiet unnerving to some people.

Anyone willing to take it MUST be a timid and kind person.

I probably would have gotten annoyed enough to actually approach her and ask if I could help her with something.

That shuts them up, every time. (Er, figuratively speaking)
