To tell you the truth, quite a few nations do not need the americans. What you percive as a God given position in the world does not comply with what most other peopls think of you. Most natural disasters in the world have been handeled quite well without your engament. What you percive as need for taking down a dictator have resultet in outright hate towards americans in quite a large part of the world, and you are in general despised in europa. We eropeans tend to think of you as primitive religious fanatics in the same kindergartens as the iranians. Only that you are more dangerous.

I agree with you.
I am an American and I agree with the Canadian Gentleman. America's media make Americans think we run the world and when the inexperienced Yank is traveling internationally they tend to carry this attitude with them. Not everyone on this planet like Americans. The American Bill of Rights only exists in America so be very polite when visiting other countries. Big hint. Keep your voice down. American accents can be very annoying to the untrained ear.
